Much better to have a brand new “trip switch” box and know you and your family are safe. The old ones are no longer suitable - and that’s even if you don’t replace a fuse with a one inch nail like I once found (Oh yes, I’ve seen it all!). Perhaps you have more than one old fuse box on your wall, or fuse boxes with missing screws or covers? If so, it’s time to upgrade – get a safe modern consumer trip switch unit.
